| AKA the Gastons of the world. Gaston from Beauty and the Beast that is. I know that a lot of times people can mistake egotism, arrogance, and conceitedness with confidence, but why would anyone be willing to date these guys?

I think it's like you said - sometimes people mistake it for confidence. And some men like that are good at twisting things around and making out that the woman is at fault for the way he acts.
But to answer your question: No, most women do not like to date guys like that.

I say, let the egotistical, condescending, conceited, stuck up people of this world have each other! That works out perfectly, and keeps them away from US!

I don't know about "girls"...but I would venture to guess that most women like to date men they are attracted to or drawn to for various reasons. Most people do not date someone based on a list of traits--they fall in love or become involved and sort out the details as the lean about each other. I don't think anyone wants to date someone who is specifically egotistical, condescending, conceited and stuck-up but as human beings we are all capable of exhibiting some of these traits in certain situations--I'm sure including yourself.
One thing I know most women do not enjoy is having to chase a man. It's possible that the men who have the courage to pursue a woman more actively will have more luck simply through persistence, which is a sign of some degree of confidence. That quality would be attractive to a woman. A man that you perceive as egostiscal, etc., may be more successful because he is more confident and can provide what most women want--which is a man who has the ability be bold when necessary.

Gosh! i definitely would not! i would never want to date anyone who is self-centered, disrespectful, bossy, overly confident and egoistic.
I just can't stand such poor conducts or bad attitude, personally..that would turn me off completely.No chance!
