Yep, I got one a nice average sized leopard print vibrator a couple of months for my daughter after her boyfriend left for the US Marines boot camp.
She just looked to stressed. She apprecieted the fact that I went around looking for a match for her purse (she has a thing for leopard patterns )

Nope, we went to a local place. It was in the evening and we waited in the car til we felt it was sorta empty.
Were you alone, or with a friend?
I was with my friends wife
Did you pay in cash or with credit card?
We paid cash for what we purchased
Was the salesperson from the same or opposite gender as you?
They were the same sex as myself (male)
Did you look at her/him in the eye, or sort of looked to the side?
Looked them in the eye when making the exchange of cash.
(optional) What did you buy?
We purchased a vibrator and a magazine.
When we completed the purchase we found a secluded spot among some factories. We parked the car and looked through the pages of the magazine at the various positions and she showed me how she used the vibrator. It was so incredible....I have no shame...lol

~Yes

~No, I live in Nashville and Nashville isnt a small hick town so I went into town to the largest adult book store and shopped.

~I was with a friend. Its not wise to go to that part of town being a alone female.

~Cash I think.

~Yes he was a gay guy.

~I was just the usual with him, he didnt make me feel uncomfortable.

Fantasia parties were all the rage here a few years ago. An at home party, invite all your friends over and pass around vibrators, lotions, paints, edibles, whips . U name it. Hey, why not, if i had the party, i got a discount from all the sales...lol...
I remember years ago, I bought my boyfriend body paints, and lotions and stuff for Christmas. His brother new what they were, and changed name tags so the mom opened them. Was I embarassed.
No qualms here about going into a sex store, and if I have any questions, I just ask.

Both my mail deliverer and UPS guy told me that they know a lot about everyone on their route by the mail and packages they get. The packages that are the most revealing are those with the plain brown unmarked wrappers. The only thing shipped that way is porn or sexual stuff.
Buy it in person. It is more fun. Don't be embarressed. They are the ones selling it. Have fun and ask personal stuff.
Years ago when porn videos were behind the counter I would discuss what was the best all the time with the female clerk. One day there was a teenager behind the counter. I asked her and she said that she was not old enough to rent them but her boyfriend could. She than got in a discussion with me about what video was good and what she liked. She then started to talk about her sex life. We had to stop because another customer came in.

The first time I went into a sex shop was several years ago when I still lived in NY. Thanks to Rudy's clean-up of Times Square, it took me a while to find a place. This place was seedy, but I walked in in my work clothes (nice suit and briefcase) and matter-of-factly went to get what I came in for. The funny thing to me was the response of all the men in there. This well-dressed woman walking in, who could just as well have been their wife or daughter. LOL
Since then, I have decided that, for me, going into these stores is no big deal at all. As a matter of fact, I am the woman who comes into the store (there is a big one about a half-mile from where I live now) and start asking the clerks about all of the toys and instruments that I have never seen before. Of course, they usually laugh at me, because most of the toys that I have never seen usually have to do with gay BDSM. *s* Since I am not a gay man....well....
For a long time, I only ordered things online, but now I have decided that I like to see and feel things before I buy. I find it very fun and arousing to go into this store either by myself or with my b/f.
And, for the record, I have found that this store stocks some very nice thigh-high stockings that are of better quality and cheaper than anything I have found in Victoria's Secret or stores like that. Since I detest wearing pantyhose, I go to this store and stock up for work. *s*
I will admit though, that I live in a city where this is acceptable, and, maybe, just maybe, it would be different if I lived in a smaller town. But, I like to think that it wouldn't. LOL
My theory? If this is your thing...there should be no embarassment in going in to a store and getting what you want.
