| Exactly SassyNYLady ... you really need to see it and feel it before you buy it ... there are so many new toys out there now .. different sizes and textures etc. .. toys really are something you need to see in person before you buy them.

No, I'm way too lazy and cheap with gas to go any farther than I have to. You have to figure, if someone sees you in a sex shop, they are also in the sex shop.

I've never been in alone. I've gone with my boyfriend and a girl friend.
Did you pay in cash or with credit card?
Debit card. No one sees those statements but me...
Was the salesperson from the same or opposite gender as you?
Once it was a guy, but the rest of the times it was girls.
Did you look at her/him in the eye, or sort of looked to the side?
Directly in the eye. I was actually kinda flirting with the guy as I was buying my vibrator :P These people sell nothing but sex toys for a living, why would I be embarrassed? Now if the salesperson was my mom, THAT would be embarrassing. ew...

As I already said, a vibrator, another vibrator, lots of condoms cause they almost always have some special sale going on. Bought lube, a game for my boyfriend's birthday, lingerie. Oh and once when I went in, they were selling something called Sex Soda which supposedly has natural aphrodisiacs in it, the sales person talked me into trying that.

| No, I'm a wimp -- I've always bought the stuff online. The crazy thing is that it's actually more inconspicuous to buy the stuff in person because the mail order sites put you on every adult junk mail list known to man. I wouldn't have a problem going with my girlfriend, though, and the next time we happen to walk or drive past one I'm sure we'll take a peak. She's been in them before several times.

Haven't purposely driven to another town, but have bought items at stores in differnt towns.
Were you alone, or with a friend?
First time I meandered in was with a male friend on a dare that I was too chicken. Now I go with friends or alone, doesn't bother me.

Have done both. But the last time (2 weeks ago) was my debit card.

In the eye. What choice do you have.. I mean the guy here opens the package up and puts batteries in so you can make sure you have a functioning one when you leave.

2 weeks ago a new vibrator (it's zebra striped!).
I'm in a LDR and well ... I killed off the last one. Honest to pete I should start my own thread on funny sex stories. But honestly, and I told a coworker this she spit her pop so don't drink!! The old one had a sleve on it that changed colors as it warmed up, cooled down etc. Well.. it started shooting sparks!! They wanted to know what I was doing to the poor thing!
On a side note (and another humorous story) I live in a prudish town. Now mind you 1/2 a mile or so from the Sex shop (that opened in the last 10 years) is a Strip club (that's been there FOREVER). And guess what they built across the street from said strip club a few years ago?? A church youth center! Then they complained about the porn shop being open 24/7 so they cut his hours. He was not allowed to be open on holidays. He was open flag day in 2007 so they shut him down for a YEAR! *rolls her eyes* I'm just glad he's open again so I don't have to pay shipping or cross state lines LOL

| I have been in a store with my husband before we are married and even more after. I have also had parties here where the girls get together and a party host comes in and shows you all the new things that they are selling now. We also do sometimes shop out of catalogs and online .. they tend to be less expensive then in the stores themselves.

Did you pay in cash or with credit card? Have paid both ways.
Was the salesperson from the same or opposite gender as you? Have been both.
Did you look at her/him in the eye, or sort of looked to the side? Right in the eye, what's to be embarassed about?
(optional) What did you buy? A magic egg, mighty mouse, cuffs, straps, gags, we've got quite a few things.

- with my then-fiance, now-husband

- they were all female (same as me)

- looked at them...they atually took one of the items out of the packaging for us to show us the trick to getting the batteries into the toy (it did required a bit of a trick)

- we've bough vibes, dvds, under-the-bed restraints, a remote-control vibrating egg....
