My current boyfriend was with a woman for a short while. He did not love her and told her he did not want to marry her. After they split up, she invited him to her place for no strings attached sex. She lied to him and told him she was on the pill. Nine months later, she sends him a photo of his daughter, admits that she lied to him about being on the pill and wanted to suprise him with a child and asked him to marry her. He refused. One month after the birth she leaves her child in Ecuador with her parents and goes to work in Italy. My boyfriend pays every month for the child in Ecuador but doesn't want to see it. Several years later she wants to claim extra child support and take the child to live with her in Italy. My boyfriend refused to sign the papers. He said "I never wanted a child with you. I will pay for the child in Ecuador but that is it. I will not pay more money. I want to have a child with my current girlfriend who will become my wife". She replied "I don't care if you want other children or not, just pay me more money".
Do you think my boyfriend was right not to sign the papers for Italy? What kind of woman would trap a man with a baby he doesn't want?

Did no one do a paternity test?
I think he's doing somewhat the right thing by financially supporting the child in some amount.
I think what the child's mother is asking is akin to blackmail.
What are the chances someone will file a lawsuit?
It seems no one wants the child -- neither the mother nor the father. That's the saddest part of this whole tale.
