So in 39 days I get to see my man FINALLY after nearly 5 months of painful separation!
And i'll be going to pick him up at the airport (not sure whether someone kind will give me a lift or it'll be by train, but probably the former).
Firstly, after the shenanigans a few months ago with immigration detaining him and them asking me even how much land his mum has, we're going to be mega prepared in that sense.
But i'm thinking how to make it special: I know, I know - he just wants to see me, kisses hugs blah blah
But I want something nice! Last time I might a sign with his name on, took me ages to do, but I never got a chance to actually show it to him as when he came out after 4 hours of interrogation he was too confused and drained and didn't really notice it (didn't help that I was so eager to see him I practically walked through the exit myself).
So i'm wondering what have you lot done that was a nice little touch for greeting your SO at the airport/similar place?
Any ideas are welcomed
x

For one of my ex's I went to Buidl-a-Bear and made him one. Dressed it in a sundress and matching sandals and little hat-named her Sunshine (his nickname for me). She was cute

| Mmm he's not really a cuddly toy kinda guy...! Wouldn't mind it for me lol although I still have each and every one he's ever won for me at the yearly carnival. I'm thinking more like favourite chocolate in my handbag for when he arrives, nice clean warm duvet on the bed with candles and mood music when we get home etc.

I like the idea of the favourite chocolate and the warm duvet. When I think back on the times I visited my ex - I usually arrived really hungry after a long plane ride and just wanted to relax for a day. Unfortunately it usually ended up with us having to go grocery shopping first and then cleaning the apartment because he hadn't found the time to do so. So I think the best thing after an exhausting journey (even if it's just a couple of hours, I don't know how far your bf's flight is) is simply being welcomed with a warm, delicious meal, some chocolate, no stress... something big on the senses, but low-demand-on the brain. I don't know if that makes sense.
