You apparently know this guy already....well enough that you "adore" him after only one date. So he wanted to make out a bit....so what? OK, you didn't want to do it, presumably because he was fixated on that other woman when he should have been talking to you.
So you told him you were uncomfortable making out. He said fine and indicates continued interest in you. And you like him. Why WOULDN'T you go out again? He now knows not to push you regarding physical affection and he obviously enjoyed being with you. And you ADORE HIM!
There's nothing to be confused about. You won't find happiness or romance NOT going out. GO OUT WITH HIM!
