Hi everyone!!
I know I probably don't post here quite enough to be considered a regular, but I do come sporadically and you guys have given me some fabulous advice.
So, for anyone who remembers me,... it's finally happening! My boyfriend is coming to visit, FOR SURE. Plane ticket bought, countdown initiated, etc., etc.! (Eight days, for anyone curious... EIGHT DAYS! AHHH!) 
I'm so excited I can barely think about it. I'm on spring break and am using this to clean my entire apartment so it's spotless when he gets here, and do a ton of schoolwork so I can spend more time with him while he's here. (His spring break is one week after mine, unfortunately. Laaaame!)
The plan is just to hang out and enjoy each other all week, and he wants to meet my mom, so she's driving up to meet him and have dinner and hang out with us a bit as well.
I can't waaaaait! 
A little bit of background for those who don't know: I met him online (video games!) many years ago (like 7 now?... wow I feel old lol!). We just kept it platonic (mostly his fault, but I was much too young for him then so no hard feelings about this at all - 5 year difference at 21/26 now is no big deal, but then.. well, yeah, awkward! lol!) and online until the very end of May last year.
That night, I got him to come talk to me on voice chat while we leveled characters together, and... well, that was that. He's been absolutely amazing and we fell for each other so hard and so fast, lol, everything just felt right. Nine months later I'm more in love with him than ever, never felt this way about anyone before, and I can't wait to see him. He's been right here with me the entire time and he's just as excited as I am. (In fact, he brings it up more than I do, I think! )

Thank you, Mary! Ahhh I can't wait. I'm nervous, naturally, but I'm sure that'll go away once he's actually here!! I've never been so excited for spring break to end. LOL.
I can assure you that we probably won't stop kissing each other for the entire time he's here! He says he's really affectionate, and I love to be affectionate, too. I don't know if we're going to be able to leave my apartment hardly at all, haha!
One of my friends I just spoke to told me to lower my expectations for meeting him... I was like yeah, fat chance! We've been together 9 months, it's not like I'm not going to like what I see/talk to. Besides, if I fall in love with him all over again every day, why should I think it shouldn't be even more obvious in person? I'm prepared for some initial awkwardness as we settle into really getting to know each other face-to-face, but... knowing us, I don't see it lasting very long. Especially if he just walks up, pulls me close, kisses me, and tells me he loves me right when he sees me like he says he wants to. Kinda hard to be awkward after that 
How did your first meeting with your boyfriend go, Mary?

Oh to have a meeting like this! 
Your excitement made me smile from ear to ear. I don't know when our meeting will happen yet. I am thinking (and we are tentatively planning) for sometime this summer when my daughter will be up at her grandparents. Then we'll just have the two of us. Ah, well. At this point, just a dream. Much time and money to gather first!
Have a blast!! Can't wait for details!

I remember our first meeting like it was only yesterday. The couple of days before he came, I was a little nervous but mostly excited because it was finally happening, I felt like time was going by too slow, I couldn't wait to see him in person. Moreover, his phone battery died during the 3 days of flight and he didn't have his laptop with him, so we couldn't communicate and I didn't know if he got to the airports fine, this was his first time traveling abroad alone too.
On his arriving date, I went to the airport and waited at the arriving hall, I could feel myself skipping a beat standing there. A couple of minutes went by, still no sign of him. My friend who came with me went to the nearest rubbish bin to throw away her tissue and called me over urgently. I felt a huge sense of relieve, it has to be him. I walked slowly when I saw him standing there. My friend recognized him from cam and pictures, so she was stunned to see him at the other side of the airport.
We were definitely awkward, awkward smile, awkward posture. We've talked about what we would have done when we first met, but at that time I felt like time was frozen and so were we. When he finally stepped forward, I stepped sideways instead, lol. Maybe I was unconsciously nervous, plus I was afraid that he wouldn't like me as much as he did online, or my physical appearance might be lacking. My friend literally pushed me towards him to get us to hug. When we did hug, I wrapped my arms around him, I almost cried. I told him I missed him so much because I hadn't heard anything from him for days, so I was afraid that he might get lost too. After we broke off the hug, another awkwardness hit. We got into the car and my friend's bf drove us to the hotel where we were going to stay. I booked a hotel for him because I wanted privacy with him and we won't get it at my house, plus my mom wasn't warm up to the idea of him staying over at our house.
Once we got into the car, he held my hand in his and kissed my hands a lot. Everytime I think about it, I have butterflies in my stomach. We got to the hotel early so there was no room available, we had to hang out at the lobby for quite some time. There was less awkwardness. We got to talk for a bit, slowly the sense of recognition kicked in, I mean we finally felt like a real couple instead of two person just meeting for the first time like a stranger. We have known each other for so long online, it was so surreal to be physically together. On the lift to our room, he wanted to kiss but I resisted. I didn't want my kiss to be in the lift, the place where I get spooked a lot. We got to the room, he went to shower first and freshen up. And then we lay on the bed, looking at each other, slowly inching our face close and kissed. I melted on the spot, lol. It was definitely magical. Wish I videotaped every moment, but I forgot. T^T

| When he's in Hawaii, we cam at his night time after work and my day time during work, my manager allowed me to do that. So we cam for almost the whole time I'm at work, around 9 hours. At home, I'd skype him in the middle of his sleep and continue to cam until he left for work around 10-11pm my time, the only time we don't cam is my sleeping time. When he was in Iraq, we had a little trouble matching time because of the closer time zone, we both have to work. In South Carolina, it's even harder to find time, I'd be on 12am and he'd be on 12pm. So we resort to talking on the phone instead. One time he called me around 3pm from South Carolina, I just mumbled on the phone half asleep, lol.
