I finally got a chance to see this movie. From what I understand its very similar to another movie with Natalie Portman that came out this past january. Either way, I liked it, more because I like Mila Kunis and the movie was pretty hella funny. So the plot is basically Mila is a job hunter that meets Justin Timberlake looking for a job at GQ in New York. Mila hooks him up and he ends up staying after some convincing. After a while, being close friends, they realized they didnt like relationships, but were ok with having sex with each other. Hilarity ensues.

In all honesty, nothing drastically mind blowing from the typical romantic comedy. Boy meets girl, girl meets boy, they pretend not to fall in love but end up doing so any way. If only life were that realistic. lol.

Either way I give this an 8/1O. Nothing mind blowing and crazy, but still a good movie with likable characters.

Fair--I saw "FWB" this last weekend and I would agree with your comments 100%. I would say it was really "cute" and both Kunis and Timberlake are very likeable, like people you wouldn't mind hanging out with. The only criticism I might have is that it came off as a long "commercial" or even a marketing reel for the actors. They are indeed charming, kind of like the old Hollywood stars (which these days is hard to come by) and the whole cast was really very appealing. However, I would like to see both of these stars eventually tackle more challenging roles--I think they would be very good. So perhaps it worked because the film does show off the abilities and potential popularity of the actors.

Patricia Clarkson was quite funny and at the same time dramatic (really an excellent actress) as Kunis' baby-boomer mom (I can relate as I'm that age) and Richard Jenkins was excellent as Timberlake's father who is suffering from Alzheimer's. Jenna Elfman was very believable as Timberlake's older doting sister. And we can't forget Woody Harrelson--hilarious as the gay sports writer at GQ, where Timberlake becomes art director.

I must add--I was never a huge Justin Timberlake fan as far as music or image or anything like that....but I have to say I kind of like him in movies. I liked him in The Social Network. I know he sometimes gets a bad rap as an actor, but to his credit, I feel as an actor, he knows his limits or where to draw the line and he does not overact. Perhaps he's playing himself, but I thought he did a good job and he has a talent for allowing the actors around him to shine.

Great remarks Katie! I definitely agree. Kunis has always played almost the girly, tough frat chick kind of characters. Even in Black Swan, its no different, shes just totally clueless to the insanity Natalie portman's character is going through while she flirts with every guy in the movie.

I think its hard to get away from that role unless taking on something more challenging and out of the way. Justin Timberlake is staring in "In Time" a dystopian sci-fi movie that should come out this year. I think this should start branching him out more if this movie is good and goes well. Im looking forward to it.

Haven't gone to the movies in a while, thought I check this out because I haven't seen a funny romantic comedy in a long time. Have to agree with what you guys have said, the movie serves its purpose to entertain the audience. The acting was very good as well, I personally think Justin Timberlake is a great actor, he did an excellent job in the Social Network. As for these actors taking on more challenging roles, I don't know, its not like Hollywood dishes out many challenging movies to begin with. Some of the most thought provoking and powerful movies I have seen, whether old or recent, usually came from independent film makers. In recent times, some of the "main stream" actors that usually takes on challenging roles I would say are Daniel Day Lewis, Natalie Portman, Ed Norton and Scarlett Johansson - they all performed in multiple challenging roles over the past decade. But overall, I think even moreso than the actors, the directors and screenplay writers are what gives movies its forcefulness and artistic quality.

Its the best rom com flick of 2011. Story was same as the strings attached but chemistry between Kunis And Timberlake was awesome and they both look good together.
