Saw part 2 on opening night yesterday and really liked it a lot. This is the final installment, part 2 of Book 7, The Deathly Hallows and it really brings everything together as you get to see Harry do his final battle with Lord Voldemort. For Potter readers, from what I understand they have changed a few things around, but its still enjoyable. Definitely more action packed than part 1 and a good ending to a generation inspired by wizards and magic. I dont think I need to explain more but it is highly advisable that if you never watched a Harry Potter movie in your life that you are going to be grossly confused if you watch this one. It builds onto all previous events in the past movies and includes a lot of past movie cut scenes to tie everything in for the audience better. But you are still going to be lost as hell. The books are wildly complicated and have tons and tons of intricate, layers and laws that are introduced in the films just enough for you not to get lost, but leave you with enough questions. So thats my only warning.
The only thing I didnt care for was the "white" scene. Most movie goers will know what I am talking about. I personally dont care for this type of visualization since its very Matrix/pirates of the caribbean/Bruce almighty/every other movies version of portraying the afterlife. Its kind of....unoriginal.
It seems weird, but now I got to figure out what to do since Ive spent probably ten years enjoying these movies. Hmmm...what to do? Great ending though and Im glad they didnt wait too long inbetween parts to do this. A fantastic end to an amazing series!

| I already had a feeling about where Snapes loyalty lied for a while now, so I really wasnt fooled that much. I just didnt know the motive of why he was acting the way he did. This movie explains it better. Yes, the last one was a bit...lengthy. There were a lot of parts that were quiet and uneventful, but this one puts a lot of it together and in perspective. Although the movies still leave tons of questions as they can not fill the gaps as well as the books do.

Oh I wasn't surprised at all about Snape, and figured it that way all along. I had him pegged in the book Half Blood Prince. I just hoped the movie would show what an intregal part he played in the whole story, and they did, so I was happy with that.
I always felt that HP would have made a great TV series.
