| Saw this with my brother. He is huge original fan with John Wayne. He said this one does not stray far from original, just a few things. We both loved this movie. Jeff, Matt and the new girl are very good in their parts. Thumbs up from me.

The "new girl" is named Hailee Steinfeld and I must say she is one hell of an actress.
I find it quite strange her name isn't even in the main credits, but rather as a "supporting actor" to Jeff Bridges and Matt Damon. As far as I am concerned, she made this movie and is the main attraction.
On her IMDB profile it states she only made 100,000 dollars in this film....I hope that is a mis-print, because I'd be curious how much practice she put into that character.... Keep in mind she really is 14 years old...
Amazing she is and funny as hell in True Grit.
