Oh man, nobody knows how to kill a climax like Stephanie Meyer. She did it in the original Twilight when she built up the suspense for a fight between Edward and James only to have Bella pass out, making us miss the entire encounter. Then in Breaking Dawn, she took that let down, and quadrupled it. I was just like, "You've got to be kidding me!"
I can only imagine the disappointment from the boyfriends/husbands to these girls that drag them to see the final part. It's like watching your mom spend hours and hours fixing a delicious delicacy, but you don't get to eat any of it because she ends up just tossing it in the trash.
According to some sources over at iMDB, they are leaving no page unturned for Deathly Hallows 1 and 2. Of course, if you've read the books, I know you're looking forward to chapters: The Silver Doe, and The Prince's Tale. They seem to be everybody's favorites.

Thank you! lol. I swear that's what killed me about the series. In fact my friend kept saying "Bana don't read the last book- DON'T DO IT YOU WILL HATE IT."
And she was right... I was so annoyed and the darn Twihearts who are like "oh no that was a perfect ending" until I point out WHY go through all that trouble for what the ending was? It just doesn't make sense.
The REAL reasoning behind the end was she RAN OUT OF IDEAS.

They say with music, that just because its old; it doesn't make it classic. Well with books, just because the ending is happy; it doesn't make it perfect.
At least with Twilight and Eclipse, the encounters that take place during the climax still exist. This enables the screenwriter to show us these parts during the movies. So what the hell are they going to do with Breaking Dawn? Rewrite what actually happens? They better hire a genius, because Stephanie Meyer clearly isn't one.

Haha, I think this too!
I think that's what makes the Harry Potter books so good (sorry, this is turning into a Twilight vs. Harry Potter thread instead ). J.K. Rowling had the end of Harry Potter figured out before it was written. And you can tell.
The Twilight series seem like Stephenie Meyer just decided to start writing and see how it all worked out as she went. There's nothing terribly thrilling or complex about the books. And I agree that they're very anti-climactic.

There is no Twilight vs Harry Potter because Twilight can't even be compared to Harry Potter. JKR's books and writing are far superior in every way conceivable.
I give Meyer credit for being clever enough to come up with a butchered concept of vampires and werewolves in a way that appeals to the mentatlities of teenage girls. She's made a lot of money. However, when she was criticized by Stephen King (a writer whose credentials and achievements speak for themselves), I lost what little respect I had for her when she just shrugged it off like - imagine this - a teenage girl.
And just a small correction: What Rowling had planned from the beginning was the fate of Severus Snape, and she totally wrote the entire series around this one aspect. No book has ever brought tears to my eyes, but (without giving anything away) when Snape says, "Always" I couldn't hold them back. Absolutely brilliant! Suck on that Meyer!!

Amen to that BH- there is no comparison!
HP is the only book that's managed to make me cry more than once, when Dumbledore died I literally felt like a good friend died- my husband thought I was insane that I was upset! And I know this last movie is gonna have me crying like the book did.

This is what I was referring to. As well as the Dumbledore story line, and the main part of the plot. She has said that only less crucial story lines weren't planned from the beginning, whereas the rest were; and that the final chapter of the book she wrote back in 1990 or so.

Haha, I totally know what you mean! I got so upset I had to put the book down for a bit. My mum walked into the room as I was bawling my eyes out, and was really worried. After I told her what was wrong, she thought I was being absolutely ridiculous.
