Splice is a modern day version of frankenstein where two rebellious geneticists create a creature that is part human, part something totally different. From there we meet Dren (backwards for NERD), who Elsa ends up keeping despite the objections of Clive who wants nothing to do with it. The story revolves around the growth of Dren and the conflicting moralities imposed on such a species being alive.

Overall the story was good for about 75% of the movie....the last 25% was more like a wtf moment. What could have been a brilliant story about the consequences of creating a creature that is part human, turned into just a distasteful and odd twist to the storyline that lead most audiences confused more than enlightened.

I give this a 6/10 since the storyline was still quite valid up to a certain point. However what follows after is way beyond where the story should have taken it.

The A-Team

The A-Team is based on the original TV series about a group of military special ops that are convicted of a crime they didn't commit. A lot of big stars are in this movie in particular and even though some points of the movie are 100% impossible or ridiculous, it still was quite entertaining to say the least. I certainly enjoyed it and Im sure if you let go of reality a bit...it will be entertaining as well. I give it a 8/10 at least for the entertainment. ITs not like the original, but still fun to watch.

Honestly Splice is one of the top 3 WORST movies I have ever seen.

Up there with like...Lions for Lambs and the Men who stare at goats.

Splice is so bad I called up every single person in my cell phone address book and told them NOT TO SEE IT.

If I had driven myself, I would have left.

Descension...I really felt the story could have been something great if it wasn't for the odd turn of events after a while. I really enjoyed it up til it got just plain weird and off topic. I felt a better ending would have been that she died...period...or she gets captured, experimented on and dies painfully in the process being overexposed to chemicals, tests and other devastating things they do to Gods own creatures.

I know that sounds cliche...but its a hell of a lot better than what the director thought up. Something about trying to be original doesnt always reflect well in real life compared to on paper. At what point did Adrian Brody read the script and go "What a freaken great idea! lets do it!" ? I dont think its one of the TOP3 worse movies....I think "Tortillas Again?" at least takes one of those spots. lol
