Ok, So......Adam and I went to see this movie tonight and OH MY GOSH - seriously - if you're gonna see it, make sure you have a box of tissues handy.
I cried for like half the movie, and there was a part that even Adam cried. It's a very emotional movie, I'm thinking especially for military spouses/other halves.
I won't give anything away, but I will say that if you read the book, you may get slightly annoyed with some of the things that were changed.....of course that usually happens with any book turned to movie I think. Overall though, it was a pretty good movie.

| Dear John was not one of the better Sparks novels IMO, but I think they chose it for a movie because of the War theme. The Lucky One has a slight War theme as well, and that was a better book. I've read nearly every Sparks novel, so I can give a recommendation if anybody wants one :0) I'll go see this movie though, and I'll bring my tissues, Mickey :0)

There’s only one book I haven’t read yet.. What can I say?: ) If his books reflect his feelings and views, then he does have an absolutely beautiful mind… What an lucky lucky woman his wife is. : )
Before I read any of his books, I used to question if the perfect, true, unselfish, patient love he writes about actually existed. I thought it was just a fantasy… I gave up believing it did until I fell in love with Billy: ) Would I read his books if I wasn’t so much in love with Billy? Honestly? No, I don’t think I would, because they would sadden and probably frustrate me too much… I wouldn’t want to spend the rest of my life longing for a sacred love only I believed in.
Right I’m in the mood for a romantic night now all snuggled up on the sofa watching Under The Greenwood Tree with Billy. Only he doesn’t know it yet lol BILLY.. BILLY DARLING.. WHERE ARE YOU…
*sigh* Oh I’m so missing my munchies… He’s got me on one helluva diet here!!

| Venus, it's funny that you bring up that point about how his writing reminds you of Billy. I got into Sparks when I was still with my ex fiance, and it used to kind of make me sad. I used to think that it was kind of a fantasy world and that love like in the movies was all for the silver screen..until I met Dan. I've said it a hundred times since I met him, and I've told him to his face. I would have been fine if I had never loved or been loved like this. Think of it like if you had never been introduced to ice cream lol. Now, however, meeting Dan has changed my whole outlook on the concept of fate, karma, soulmates, etc. It's nice :0)
