Hey crazy4U4ever, glad to hear this post helped make you feel better. And thanks again to everyone, both for the kind words on the post and the well wishes on my upcoming visit.
This board has been a constant source of inspiration and support over the past 135 days for me, and it has really helped me get through some of the tough phases that go along with a LDR. From the various count down threads, the highs, the lows, the happiness, the sadness, this board continues to be a great place for strong individuals to come together and offer hope and inspiration to others in similar circumstances. To that I am very grateful, so I really should be thanking all of you…..

hey thanks for the post
ive been feeling a lot of the things you mentioned about doubts and insecurites and its always worse late at night (which is when we usually speak, due to time differences).
i often get down and feel so lonely, wondering why hes bothering! hes never said anything to make me doubt he would leave me but its just unavoidable to think like that.
glad to know its normal though!
i think its true what you said: that most of the time if we are angry, its at the distance and not at the person!
thanks so much for your advice

Well everyone, here we are. After 140 days apart from my girlfriend I am on the last day before I see her again. It has been a long time coming, but now I am just so happy to have this visit. She is going to meet me at the Kzoo airport (gonna fly into Detroit from Tokyo, and then do a quick transfer over), and we will be able to spend tomorrow night together. After that, I will stay with her and her family for a few days before Christmas (and just after my birthday which is Saturday!), and then she will stay with my family and myself after Christmas for 10 nights and 11 days. After that, it’s back to Japan, but with the knowledge that never again will we have to go so long without one another. My countdown started at 141, and never again will I have to do triple digits if everything goes as planned. The next time I will see her after this break is the end of March for her spring break… and that is when she is visiting Japan!
I wanted to once again say thank you for all of the kind support over the past four and a half months, and that I hope everyone else is happy and able to spend time with those close to them. As I have outlined in this thread, I really feel this time apart was a great growing experience and allowed us to better strengthen our future together. I probably won’t have much internet access for the next day and a half of traveling, but thank you all. I will provide updates when I get the chance! Till then, thanks again and see you next time!

| Is there anyway that this post can be a permanent part of our forum? I've never seen such great advice written out. I'll try to pm an admin about getting this here for keeps
