Scott Pilgrim vs the world is about a 22 year old slacker named Scott (Michael Cera) who plays in a band and is trying to get over his ex-girlfriend who cheated on him for some one better. Scotts story starts out where he is dating a 17 year old chinese high school girl which his friends and very opinionated little sister dont particularly approve. He then meets the girl of his dreams, Ramona Flowers, and becomes totally infatuated with her until he realizes her 7 evil exes are out to get him and keep him away from her. Scott must now defeat all of her exes to win her love while trying to keep it together with the band that desires a record deal.
Scott Pilgrim is total geek heaven with its plethora of crazy special effects, video game/anime style story telling and even a seinfeld reference mixed in, its one of the best movies I have seen since Grandmas Boy as far as the level of geek victory stories. Its witty, fun, exciting and is an excellent metaphor for the baggage we have to deal with when we meet some one new. A perfect love story with a geek twist. A must see! 10/10!
