I'm new to this website and my boyfriend is deploying. Some of the things that you had in your post were some of things that I was thinking. I'm finding it a little hard to deal with him leaving.

Wow this is helping a lot....seeing as all i do right now is cry lol. My fiance is leaving for a year, I have really just come to realize that yes in fact he is leaving and I have known for over a month. But these steps have truly helped and give me a guide for what is to come too...like when he comes back and WE can start OUR life together.

THANKS

I am new to the military life, and my husband is deploying in 20 days. This has been extremely helpful in understanding what we are going through. We are at that stage where we seem to be at each others' throats all the time. I know we love each other and it makes me feel so much better to know it is just the stress of deployment. Thanks!

Thank you for this.. I am about a week into our first deployment... I thought I was literally losing it or over reacting. Now I feel a lot better knowing that it is normal and it will pass.
