I have never bought a sex toy, but think it might be fun someday. I've looked online at all the different shapes and sizes and honestly have been astounded by how much is out there.

So I understand that everybody's body is different and therefore you need to kind of figure out what you like. But. . .what do you do if you don't like a sex toy? I suppose that's not a big deal if it was one of the $15 vibrators, but say hypothetically you buy a $90 rabbit vibrator and things just do NOT work out.

What do you do? Obviously you can't take it back. But idk I think I'd feel bad throwing something nice like that in the trash after one use.

I suppose I'm asking for people to say what they've done with toys that just didn't work out. I have no idea if this is a silly question, but I've really curious.

Well, it's not a good idea to buy an expensive toy if you are not sure whether you will like it or not. Instead, buy a cheapie version of the same one and try it first, then once you start understanding what you like you can buy the better, more expensive ones.

Unfortunately there isn't a market for used sex toys. Even if you boil it AND always use a condom on it (which are the only ways you can safely share toys) most people will be skeeved out and won't want to touch it.

All you can really do it throw it away. It's an unfortunate waste of money and resources, but there really aren't any other options.

When you throw them away, be sure to remove the batteries. And wrap it in newspaper so as not to scare the garbage man. hahahaha......

Start out with one of the little bullet vibrators. It's the size of a keychain, runs on watch batteries, and is really really fun solo or with a partner!

The bullet was my first toy purchase... and is still my BEST friend!! I don't think you can go wrong with a bullet... then again, it may not be for everyone...

I agree you should start small and cheap and then move on from there. It's good that you are considering it and trying to learn more.

Good luck!
