I just rewatched the first 2 movies...and I realized movie number 2 really is the oddball in the series. I didnt realize the ten rings was in the first movie [its been 5 years...and I really didnt think anything of it at the time].
However I don't believe the mandarin has any correlation in the third one. I think he is simply borrowing the name such as "Al Qaida" to bring fear as it already has an associated name with terrorism.
Also Justin Hammer is whiny...but I still love Sam Rockwell.
I really hope Robert Downey Jr comes back for Iron Man 4 [there is talk, but its up in the air]...but it depends on how cheap Marvel wants to be.
I think it will be a grave mistake if they do not bend on raising the salary of their actors. Ironman 3 and the Avengers has been their highest grossing films of all time for Marvel. It would be stupid for them to deny another movie and deny the salaries the other actors for the Avengers deserve. And it would be WORSE if they replaced their main actors!!! Marvel..this is not a spiderman reboot. Spiderman kind of sucked any way. THIS IS IRON MAN. One of your most successful, iconic onscreen comic heroes. Don't be stupid! Keep Robert and the crew!! Pay them!!
