Interesting reviews for the movie at imdb and rottentomatoes, horror films have gone so far down the gutter over the years thats its usually a waste of $12.50 to go to the theaters.
Unfortunately it isn't playing in any theaters near in NYC(wtf?), definitely gonna get this on dvd though. Been so long since I seen a good horror film since The Shining...

Oh come on!... It isn't playing anywhere near my town. It is only playing at colleges or special cinemas or something from what the list shows.
That sucks, because just from looking at the pic of it on that page it makes me shake. I think it is about what happens when you are sleeping...ghost and stuff are around you, looking at you while you sleep... Now that is creepy and yes..probably have a hard time falling asleep after seeing it lol.
Woooo it does give you shivers thinking about it.

I was being sarcastic.... Like darn it, she had to mention this, get me excited thinking it will be Friday's treat, but it only is playing in like 2 theaters in the world lmao.
I love ghost/entity movies.... Ever see the Entity?... It's 1970's and it IS scary!...

Ju-on is good and I like how close the American and japanese version follow the exact same scenes. I think the foreign one is scarier because we don't know the actor like a typical Sarah Michelle geller flick.
The Exorcist, IMO, is the scariest of all time. The "Original" Amittyville horror was a close second..actually a tie IMO.
GET OUT! GET OUT! Holy crap that is scary lol.
I've seen the actual Amittyville horror house in LI New York.. You drive right past it a few times then you realize.."oh yeah..there it is." Not scary at all in person, but the 7 killings that actually happened there were real and that cannot be denied.
The tear-drop windows are gone(they look like eyes) and regular ones are in they're place. It's actually a small house compared to the rest around town. Still cool to see the actual, most famous haunted house in America lol.. BOO!

Well actually in the new one they went further back into the story of how Amittville got haunted. Indian sacrificial grounds and later in the centry the house was built on top of it. Hence the haunting and the house scaring off inavaders.
In the original film in 1978 they went with the story(Hoax) of Ronald defoe after the true story killings in 1974. All it took was Ronald Defoe stating that the devil made him do it, he saw things and "it" enticed him to do what he did. Some book guy saw a money making venture and came up with the fake story, which would be the haunting, the lutzes leaving the house after 28 days and not even closing the door. That was a hoax using the tragedy that really happened. Hollywood mad a buck off of that tragedy and that sucks., In the middle of it they created the most famous haunted hose in the world lol
As you can see I am an expert on that story lol.. and yes, I want to spend the night in the actual house!..lol.. I've seen the REAL crime scene pics online.. It was sad to see.
The Exorcist freaked me out... much like Jaws after a 6 year old watched it.. I never went into the water for years lol..
Look up "Exorcist Spider WAlk" on youtube and be prepared to pull your feet up off the ground lol..

You can fill out a form requesting Paranormal activity to be in your local theatre. Pffftt right now it's only in a few and it looks like if no one complains, it will stay that way. I don't get it. Seems this movie is a hit and they could make a lot more money with it if it's in like EVERY theatre. Maybe this is just a marketing stradegy or something.
Anyway, I WANT TO SEE IT!

I hate it when they make some movies exclusive. I wanted to check out that movie Food, Inc 2008 and it's no where to be found. By the sounds of this movie, I am really hyped to watch it.

Check this out... Not sure how true this is, but it was on m,y local radio staion...
This movie was reviewed bt Steven Spielberg after he got word of it and wanted to help the people that made it. He did a private screening at his house and was so creeped out that he brought the DVD back in a garbage bag lol.
People have since been leaving the theatre after the recent release, within 30 minutes, because the movie scared them to much. All I hear is that this movie really puts chills down your spine and for some reason I am getting chills just writing about it lol
