| Yeah, I've got that movie. I don't have a lover, but it's always heartwarming to watch even if you are single.. I cry at the end though..lol. I usually try not to though!

The Notebook is a good movie.
But the book was much better. They always are.
The Movie kills her off at the end. The book has the story continue on. He joins the same nursing home to be closer to her. When she quietly passes, a swan comes to visit him every day. There is a time when he is VERY ill and the nursing staff even comments about this swan that comes the same time every day and squawks as if to call out for him. He begs to be allowed outside to feed his swan. When he goes to his sons wedding, "The Wedding" The same swan flies back to the lake house. The children can now see this one single wild swan is more than a pet. She's quite possibly their reincarnated mother.
The series continues through the point of view of all the children and you see and feel the love their parents had and how it all influenced their lives.

| Banarabbyt, I took your advice. I saw it was airing tonight so, I've been watching it, though it took me some time to actually get into it.

Funny? funny? You got one weird sense of humour I'll say that much lol
I can honestly say I don't think I've ever cried so loud for so long at a movie. It was really embarrassing. Even my popcorn bucket wouldn't muffle the noise I was making.
Arh it was lovely, a truly beautiful story

Well he shouldn't have Banarabbyt1. If my old man ended up in a residential home I'd want to move in with him for sure. It's how true love is. Forever and Always. It was a story of true love and devotion. Something we don't see a lot of nowdays, what with morals going out the window.

| I have watched this movie numerous times and it just never gets old. I am a sap for romantic movies and I cry everytime I watch this movie. Imo it is exactly what true love is and should be. If my husband ended up in a retirement home I would be right there with him because I really couldn't deal being without him.

| I love the movie. I watche the movie at least 10 times. I cry every time. When he says "That my sweetheart" to his children. Now I will have to get the book. Just 2 weeks ago my son and his girlfriend watched the movie with me. My son got a tear in his eyes, and us girls cryed and talked about the cut things that they did when they were younger. How he stayed with her in there older years. She would all ways come badk to him. I would like to have a love like that! I would recomed this movie to anyone. Not enough words to say how much I love this movie!
