| In addition to lots of food, I sent hygiene items (razor blades, shampoo, deodorant, liquid shower soap, puffy scrubber, toothpaste, dental floss, Q-tips, etc.), vitamins, cleaning and paper supplies (chlorox wipes, paper towels, tissues), shower sandals, bed sheets, towels, and magazines. Many people send CDs, DVDs, games, and athletic equipment. Be sure to ask him what he needs or would like.

| I make each of his care packages have a theme that way it's fun for him and a challenge for me to come up with different themes all the time. His favorite candy is circus peanuts so the first care package that I sent to him I included several bags of circus peanuts, a clown beanie baby, cotton candy (it came in this great sealed bag that kept it soft), regular peanuts and a CD with circus music on it. Then I know he loves teddy bears so I took my little sister to build-a-bear and we made him a bear that was dressed in kahki shorts and a fleece camo sweatshirt and made that care package have a teddy bear theme I stamped the teddy bear card to match and made cookies shaped like teddy bears, and included the song me and my teddy. I sprayed the bear with my perfume and he loved it! Another one I did a snack food theme and sent him oatmeal raisin cookies, hot chocolate, pretzels and some assorted candies. Honestly I am starting to run out of themes good thing he's on his way home in 8 days!!! Sorry this got so long!

I sent mine a cotton blanket that I used for three weeks prior to shipping was sprayed with both of my body sprays for use when he went underway before we were living together. He said it kept its smell all the way through shipment and his 3 weeks out at sea, until he got home and washed it. The blanket is now the traditional send off to use on his ship when they go out to sea. I spend about a week using it and spraying it before he leaves so that he always has something that reminds him of me. And so he doesn't have to make his berthing every morning. Heh.
I also sent him Chewy granola bars, antibacterial soap, a washcloth, an afghan (sp?) my grandmother made, some cards with personal notes in them, cans of peas (inside joke), some emergancy candles and a cd with some songs I burned for him.

Hi. Well Stuff to send in Care Packages. There's this website where you can actually order them if you want to, it's at http://www.funcarepackages.com or http://militarycarepackages.net or http://www.goodygiftbox.com . And of course that doesn't give you a lot of room to make your own choices or anything, but someday if you don't have any time..that will help you. But I just get on there to get some ideas sometimes. But imagination is the best key. So this is a good overview...:
You want to send stuff to remind them of you such as pictures (they are not allowed to receive photos with skin showing that could be covered by pants and a t-shirt), perfume, teddy bears, etc. Games and gadgets of some sort like cards and puzzles, Food that wont melt or spoil like macaroni and cheese, candy that is tightly sealed, fruit snacks, koolaid mix and gatorade powder and other drink mixes, something to suck on, potato chips, crackers, jerky, cookies, peanuts, soup in a can or like cup noodles, dried fruit and vegetables, chewing gum, breakfast bars, cereal, twizzlers, hostess cakes, toothpaste and toothbrush, pocket combs, razors, kleenex, chapstick, foot powder, lotion, shampoo and conditioner and body wash, q tips and cotton balls, deoderant, socks, gloves, hat, cough drops, aspirin or some type or pain reliever, antacids, vitamins, toilet paper, detergents, Neosporin, Books and magazines, icy hot, plastic utensils, pens and pencils and paper and envelopes (they dont need stamps, it is free for them), batteries, music, word puzzles, a journal, sunscreen, footballs and frizbees, baby wipes or pre-moistened towlettes, hand sanitizer, eye drops, mouthwash, cameras, newspapers, phone cards that can be used in that side of the world lol, things from kids or something, cologna...uhh my brain is boggled now...lol thats about it! ANYTHING ELSE =P haha, good luck PM me if you need anything..okay! Make it fun! Chelsey

| I can recommend some vitamins from my website http://www.anewbeginning.unfranchise.com/ I send my husband the following products and he takes everyday and shares with his fellow marines. In the product search box type individually: Bliss, Torch, Champion Blend, Greens, AWAKE, and meals. The meals are especially great because they do not have to be refridgerated-they can even heat in the sun and still have a yummy hot meal. The chicken pasta parmesan and the lentils are his favorite. email me if you have any questions. mireya_mxpr@hotmail.com

What's meant to be will always find a way
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
