| I was raised to bring food into the theater. When I was a kid, my parents would always buy us a 50 cent candy bar at the gas station before the movie, which we would sneak in instead of paying $3-4 inside. As an adult, I continue to sneak in food and a water bottle if I want it. Often I will happen to eat a meal just before, so in that case I don't bother with the snacks. Occasionally I will buy an ice cream at the movie theater.

ALL the time.
Drive to the theater with the cans of Soda in a small cooler. Then put them in my purse. Candy from Dollar Tree (thought here. I can start selling these once inside)
What I hate is when you're watching a movie and look down in front of you to view about 20 people texting.
(Phones light up like Christmas)
AND, ask for your soda with no ice. It comes out of the dispencer COLD

Moreover, especially if it's just you and your husband, just stream movies at your house. Huge money saver. Don't pay for gas to get to the theatre, shnacks, admission, etc, etc. If a movie is out on dvd or blu-ray, you can view it at that quality on your computer. Make sure you update your video drivers for best results.
