I got a chance to see Tron this weekend with my boyfriend and it totally rocked!! Tron:Legacy is a sequel to the 1982 hit "Tron" (the first film to ever used computer animation in it). Also starring Jeff Bridges which comes to reprise his role along with Bruce Boxleitner as Kevin Flynn's friend. Daft Punk plays some serious kick ass music in it too.
This Tron revolves around Kevin's son, Sam, which sees his father mysteriously disappear one night and never returns. Several years later, Sam Flynn is the absent owner of the company ENCOM which is run by corporate heads for profit, while Sam makes his once a year appearance to screw with the companies profit margins by stealing their software and making it free.
Eventually Kevin Flynn's friend, Alan Bradley gets a page one night coming from the arcade. It was Kevin's number and he immediately leapt to tell Sam about it. Skeptical, Sam goes to the arcade only to find a secret lab hiding underneath which he accidentely lasers himself into the mainframe and gets all the answers he is looking for about his father's absence....
This movie was fantastic! We got to watch it with Dbox, which is 4-D motion (3-D glasses and a moving chair! sweet!). Very well made sequel and extremely exciting! It also opens up for another sequel at the end. Definitely a must see film for the year, Tron:Legacy has great story and exciting battles.
