I have a gay friend and he seems to think that if he and his bf get married this christmas (even though they have only known each other for half a year) that immigration will be easier for them.
His BF wants to move to the UK he's from America.
But i've read some of these posts in here and it seems difficult for a straight couple never mind a gay couple.
Does anyone know whether it'd be a harder process or not?
All i know is that the BF is an IT technician over there.
How much does the immigration process cost roughly and how long would it actually take?

I would think they both would need to check the laws for the country in which they wish to live.
